Women Not Competing With Men -Alajika

Business magnate Folorunso Alakija has said that women are not in competition with men but should rather help each other to make a better society.
Alakija said this on Thursday in her visit to the Nation Headquarters in Matori, Lagos in commemoration of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
According to her, “A lot has been going on in the lives of women, especially the African woman.
“Women have been brought up to bear children, however I believe there is more to women than just that.”
She added that, “I will like to congratulate the women in this room and remind the men that without us they can’t exist. They are the head and the neck and together, we have to make it work.”
However, Alakija dispel rumours that the International Women’s Day celebration was to wrestle rights from men.
“We are not in competition with the men, Flourish Africa has come to encourage women to roll up their sleeves, balance the existence and propel and prosper women even in the workplace or whatever it is they choose to do,” she said.
“God created the man to be the head of the family and the women to give the support that he needs. Therefore a man cannot do without the woman. They must cooperate and prosper.”
